Lumbarda is a wine region on the island of Korčula in Croatia, known for the production of white wine from an autochthonous grape variety called Grk. Grk is a unique grape variety that is grown only in Lumbarda and its surroundings.
Grk is a dry white wine with low acidity and high alcohol content. It is characterized by a fruity taste with notes of citrus, almond and fig. Casa Boschi is one of the wineries located in Lumbarda. The young winemaker Mario Milina is engaged in the production of wine from the autochthonous grape variety Grk, as well as other grape varieties such as Pošip and Plavac Mali.
The Casa Boschi winery uses traditional methods of growing grapes and producing wine, combined with modern techniques.
