Kutnakvadrat is an experimental studio dedicated to concrete, founded by Krešimir Tušak and Tonći Urošević – self-taught craftsmen dedicated to handcrafting functional and designer accessories for the home, such as lamp shades, sculptural plant pots, fruit bowls and other objects.
Their primary goal is to experiment with different concrete compositions by recycling materials such as plastic, paper or cardboard packaging, which allows them to design and produce high-quality sculptural concrete products of lasting value.
It all started quite by accident – with a search for unique decorative pots for plants that would complement their love for green interior aesthetics. Given that the search was not successful, they wanted to start designing containers that would fully emphasize the beauty of the plants.
Precisely because of its cool and unobtrusive nature, concrete proved to be an ideal choice, which encouraged them to further research. After a fundamental analysis of concrete properties and study of processing techniques, they created the first models of decorative plant pots, vases, fruit bowls and other functional pieces for the home, raising the design concept to a completely new level.
After that, in 2018 they founded an experimental studio for concrete called Kutnakvadrat, offering unique and high-quality solutions not only to interior designers and architects, but to everyone who appreciates handmade design pieces for their home.
Inspiration is all around them, whether it is discarded material or untouched nature. In their beginnings, they often explored the hidden corners of discarded material, always with the aim of refreshing and reshaping such objects into something new and useful. But over time, they began to think outside the box, shaping organic forms that resulted in their latest collections, inspired by the harmony of Japanese minimalism, available on their website www.kutnakvadrat.com.
Since Krešimir and Tonći handle all aspects of business, from production to distribution, packaging, social media management, website development, visual identity and administration, it was essential for them to find a useful financial application that would be fast and easy to use – FIRA.
They are currently testing the integration of their webshop with the Shopify platform with FIRA, with the aim of achieving a fully automated process, from ordering in the webshop to automatic invoicing through FIRA.
