From the 30 May to 7 June 2023 ViennaUp’23 Startup Festival gathers startups, investors and industry leaders from all over the world in Vienna. This annual event serves as a central place to foster collaboration, innovation and networking. EU-startups, a renowned platform for news and events related to startups from Barcelona, has joined forces with the Vienna Business Agency a key player in promoting the Viennese start-up ecosystem. Together, they organized Pitch Night last week, to give selected startups the opportunity to present their innovative ideas to a global audience.
We were honored to be one of the 15 selected startups that were given the opportunity to present, which was also the first time for FIRA to present itself on the international stage.
Pitch Night featured an impressive lineup of international startups from various industries, including healthcare, fintech, insurtech, green tech, and several startups focused on AI-related topics. Although artificial intelligence dominated the startup ecosystem this year, co-founder and executive director of FIRA, Marko Jurjević, pointed out that not all solutions need to be focused on AI. Recognizing that many small companies still lack digitization in their processes, Marko highlighted two main advantages of the FIRA application: simplifying financial tasks for entrepreneurs and saving valuable time.
Many thanks to Thomas Ohr and his team from EU-startups for organizing this inspiring event. The opportunity to present at the ViennaUp’23 Pitch Night fueled the team’s ambition to further establish its presence on the international stage in the future.
