Historic success at Decanter: How FIRA helps Zure Winery stay focused on creating the best wines in the world
Lumbarda on the island of Korčula has once again confirmed its strong presence on the world's wine map! At the world's most prestigious wine awards, the Decanter World Wine Awards in London, the Zure family winery achieved a historic result.
We are extremely proud to say that brothers Ivan and Marko Batistić, the absolute champions of this year's Decanter, are users of the FIRA application. While they produce wines that conquer the world's palates, FIRA has their backs in business.
Platinum and three golds
This year's Decanter attracted 17,000 wine samples from 58 countries. In such fierce competition, a small winery from Korčula, which is currently celebrating its 30th birthday, created a real sensation and brought home impressive awards:
- Gold medal for Grk Bartul (2024.)
- Gold medal for sur lie Grk Reventon (2024.)
- Gold medal for the special birthday edition Pošip Zure 30 (2023.)
- Platinum medal (97 points) for Prošek from the Grk Zure Elysion (2016.)
This success is the fruit of vision, love for indigenous varieties, and the uncompromising focus of brothers Ivan and Marko and their entire family on top quality.
